About Friends of South Ribble Parks
Welcome to the Friends of South Ribble Parks and Open Spaces. We are in fact several Friends groups who have come together to showcase the work that is being done by volunteers in the parks and open spaces around South Ribble.
Over the last few years, we have all seen how important our green spaces are, not only for the wellbeing of residents but also for wildlife and the planet.
During the pandemic many people re-discovered the joys of gardening and being outdoors but for those that don’t have a garden our parks and green spaces were a lifeline. As if the pandemic wasn’t enough, we have the climate emergency, energy, and cost of living crisis.
